Wayne Charles Hubbell

FAIRHOPE, AL Wayne Charles Hubbell, age 72, a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016. Mr. Hubbell earned his BS and MS in Physics at LSUNO and Ph.D. in Material Science and Engineering at Rice University. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, LSU baseball & football and spending time with his wife, children and their spouses, grandchildren, and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul J. Hubbell, Sr. and Marie Paille Hubbell. He is survived by his wife, Mary Robert Hubbell of Fairhope; daughter, Elizabeth Hubbell Garriz (Charlie) of Daphne; sons, David Hubbell (Astrid) of Mobile and Thomas Hubbell (Molly) of Overland Park, KS; grandchildren, Jeanne Marie Garriz, Michael Garriz, Nicole Hubbell, Joseph Hubbell, Isabel Garriz, Henry Hubbell, Katelyn Hubbell, Oliver Hubbell, Gianna Garriz, Bennett Hubbell and Colette Hubbell; sister, Diane Michelli (Ronald) of Abita Springs, LA; brothers, Paul J. Hubbell, Jr. of Metairie, LA, Dennis Hubbell (Suzette) of Covington, LA and Barry Hubbell (Marijane) of River Edge, NJ; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial for Wayne will be held Monday, August 15, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Fairhope. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the time of service.
