ELBERTA, ALRobert C. Waite December 20, 1941 – July 31, 2016 Robert “Bob” C. Waite, 74, of Elberta, Alabama went home with his Lord on Sunday, July 31, 2016. “Bob” never met a stranger and was loved by everyone who met him. He loved dancing, music and was a former member of the original band with Dr. Hook. More than anything, he loved his family. He was married to the love of his life, Shirley Waite, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Tish Dennis (Mike); his son, Clay Waite; stepdaughters, Tammy Wingard (Steve), Sharon Whiston, and Patricia Kennedy; Grandchildren Rebekah and Lauren Dennis, Nick Waite, Sheena McAnear, Brianna Elling, Connor Wingard, Stevie Wingard, Blake Whiston, Michael, Nicholas, and Zachary Kennedy. He is also survived by his loving cousins, nephews and nieces and many wonderful friends. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 6 at 11:00 AM with visitation starting at 10:30 AM at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, 2551 S. McKenzie St., Foley, AL.
