John Mixson

FAIRHOPE, AL John Mixson, known as “Big John”, a longtime resident of Fairhope, AL passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the age of 86; he was born on October 2, 1929. Big John founded Big John Tree Service in 1972, which still thrives today. He is preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Mixson; one grandson; and one great grandson. Big John is survived by his daughters, Donna Mixson Davis of Seminole and Jeanne Hatfield of Fairhope; sons, John Randall Mixson (Deby) of Summerdale, Robin William Mixson (Teresa) of Saraland, Donnie Mixson of Daphne, Ricky Mixson (Loveda) of Pace, FL, Ronnie Mixson (Stacey) of Marlow, Mark Mixson (Loretta) of Robertsdale; twenty three grandchildren; thirty six great grandchildren; three great, great grandchildren; brother, Charles Mixson (Alberta) of Fairhope; many other loving relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 10, 2016 from 5:00 until 7:00pm at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, Monday, July 11, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
