Jane Kant

FAIRHOPE, AL Jane Helen Kant, age 88, a native of Newark, NJ, and a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016. She was a member of the Thomas Hospital Auxiliary for 25 years, St. Paul’s Thrift Store, Thomas Hospital Pool Girls, James P. Nix Center, Friends of the Fairhope Museum of History, Baldwin Senior Travelers, Spanish Fort Workout Girls and the East Gate Girls. She was affectionately known to her friends as “Queen Mom”. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Kant and son, Tom Kant. She is survived by her son, Tim (Karla) Kant of Fairhope; granddaughters, Krista Kant of Dunedin, FL, and Kari Kant of Washington, DC; daughter-in-law, Linda Kant of Phoenix City, AL; niece, Pam (Robert) Lefkowith, of Sinking Springs, PA; many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, Friday, July 1, 2016, at 10:00am. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00am until the service time.
