KALAMAZOO,MI &FOLEY,AL Theresa Ann “Terri” Wagner, age 73, a native of Muskegon, MI, a resident of Kalamazoo, MI for more than 45 years and a 16 year winter resident of Foley, AL, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016. Ms. Wagner was educated in the Muskegon, MI Catholic Schools, Mercy College of Nursing in Detroit and graduate study in Psychology at Michigan State University. A Registered Nurse for 35 years, Terri served professionally in many disciplines of medicine, retiring after 25 years in occupational health for the Upjohn Company. She was fondly respected for her competence, cheerfulness and compassion toward her patients. She also strived to “treat the whole person”. She enjoyed many outdoor physical activities, travel and in retirement, her winter home on the Gulf Coast of Alabama with her husband Jim. Terri was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Tess Wagner. She is survived by her husband, John J. “Jim” Walz of Kalamazoo, MI & Foley, AL; two brothers and a sister, Dennis Wagner of Norton Shores, MI, Mary Wagner and her husband David Barton of McFarland, WI, Mark Wagner and his wife Cindy of Herndon, VA; three beloved nieces, Jane Barton of Madison, WI, Sara Wagner Raubacher of Herndon, VA, Katie Wagner of Herndon, VA; two stepsons, Greg Walz and his wife Kerri Benedict of Petoskey, MI, Robert Walz of Kalamazoo, MI; many other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Margaret’s of Scotland Catholic Church, on Monday, June 20, 2016, at 11:00am. Terri will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
