Barbara Hartmann Alms

ELBERTA, AL Barbara Hartmann Alms, age 83, a native of Ohio and a resident of Elberta, AL. for over 60 years, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016. Barbara was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, an avid gardener, loved hosting parties for family, and was a great cook. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, John D. Alms; children, Elaine (Ernie) Gabel, all of Elberta, AL, Susan (Bob) Haynes of Foley, AL, Tony (Brenda) Alms, Jennifer (Dale Wilson) Alms, also of Elberta, AL; grandchildren, Julie Gerstenschlager, Martin Gabel, Bobby Haynes, and Tina Alms; great grandchildren, Andrew and John Gerstenschlager; sister, Judy (Bill) Myers ,of The Villages, FL; many other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Barbara’s Life will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 2:00PM at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Elberta, AL. The family will receive friends one hour prior to time of service.
