Thomas Gene Mitchell

MITCHELL FOLEY, AL Thomas Gene Mitchell, age 86, a native of Dayton, OH and a resident of Foley, AL, passed away Friday, May 6, 2016. “Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend, he’s left us but never will be forgotten.” He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He had a long career in the printing industry which began at McCalls Printing Co., Dayton OH and retiring from Southern Living Magazine, Birmingham, AL. He is survived by his wife of 61 years L. Jean Mitchell, daughter; Karen (Richard) Esterline of Sun City, FL; son, Thomas (Dianne) Mitchell of Foley, AL; grandchildren; Paula Renee Crace Belcher of Piketon OH, Samantha , Brylin, numerous other family members and friends. The family will receive friends from Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley, Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM.
