DAPHNE David Bundy Chavis, born September 19, 1986 in Laurinburg, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at the age of 29. David was a graduate of Theodore High School Class of 2005, a Daphne resident, and a former manager of Baumhower's of Daphne. He was a loving father to his son, a proud son to his parents, a great brother to his siblings, and a wonderful friend to many. He loved bowling, dancing, hanging out with friends, singing karaoke, card games, and playing with his son Brayden. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. David is survived by his son Brayden Chavis, 3, with ex wife Danielle Chavis, both of Elberta; his mother and stepfather Roxanne and Bubba Roberts of Theodore; and his brothers Micheal and Brandon Hudson of Daphne. He also leaves his brother Matthew Chavis of Theodore, sister Melissa Chavis of Prichard, brother Tommy Turner of Theodore, sisters Precious and Bobbie Ann Roberts of Theodore, sister and brother in law Ben and Donna Stegall of Seminole, sister and brother in law Teresa and Ricky Oliver of Grand Bay, and brothers Mark and Darrell Roberts of Grand Bay. He also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and too many friends to list. His first memorial service will be held at 6 pm, Friday, March 25th at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne, AL across from Wal-Mart. Visitation begins at 5 pm and the service will be at 6 pm. Dr. Robert Evans will officiate. Dinner afterwards will be at Ed's Seafood on the causeway. His second memorial service will be held at 3 pm, Saturday, March 26th at Bellingrath Baptist Church in Theodore, AL for friends, family, and those who cannot attend the Friday service. Pastor Mike Smith will officiate. Dinner will be served at the church after the service. There will also be a Memorial Benefit in honor of David on Saturday, April 9th from 5-9 pm at Top of the Bay in Daphne, AL. There will be games, a crawfish boil, live music, a raffle, silent auction, and other specials. There will also be t-shirts available and donations will be accepted at the door. All proceeds will go to the family to cover expenses. David Chavis was very loved and a great man. While we mourn the loss of him, the family asks that you please remember to celebrate his life.
