DAPHNE, ALABAMA Frances Carolyn Crockett Seibert, a resident of Timber Creek in Daphne, passed away on March 18, 2016. She was a member of Spanish Fort United Methodist Church and a former member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where she served on the Congregational Council. Mrs.Seibert received a BA degree from the University of North Alabama and MA and DAST degrees from Emory University Graduate School in Atlanta, GA. She served thirty years in the field of education and retired from the DeKalb County, Georgia school system where she was Mathematics Department Head and was named Teacher of the Year and STAR Teacher for several different years. She also taught in Decatur, AL and Reading, PA. After she and her husband retired to the Eastern Shore, she became active in both church and community. She served on the boards of several organizations including Newcomers, SELF, and Friends of the Daphne Library. Mrs. Seibert also volunteered with the Eastern Shore Literacy Council, Daphne Public Library, and Catherine Place. She enjoyed attending Bible studies and was active in Community Bible Study for a number of years as well as Bible studies at her church. Bridge Clubs and Book Club were other activities which she enjoyed. She is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, John Michael Seibert of Daphne, AL; daughter, Susan (Richard) Hajek of Estes Park, CO; grandchildren, Ian Hajek, Estes Park, CO and Carolyn Hajek of Charleston, SC. Spanish Fort United Methodist Church will hold a memorial service on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spanish Fort United Methodist Church, Friends of the Daphne Public Library, Home of Grace, or Mobile Rescue Mission.
