FAIRHOPE, AL Annie Marguerite Martiniere (Fannie Bell), life-long resident of Barnwell and Fairhope, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at the age of 95. Loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Ms. Martiniere was the first female disc jockey and radio personality on the Gulf Coast. She adored her family, and she enjoyed listening to country music, telling stories, and making those around her laugh. She was a founding and lifetime member of the Mobile Country Music Association and a member of Barnwell Baptist Church. She will be deeply missed by all those she touched throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Gordon Martiniere; one son, Thomas (Diane); one daughter, Ann; and one daughter-in-law, Delores. She is survived by one daughter, Katherine (Richard) and one son, William (Kathy), fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. A memorial service was held Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, where Rev. Glenn Whitfield and Rev. Terry Blair officiated. Interment was in Brook Cedron Cemetery in Barnwell.Active pallbearers were Tommy Martiniere, Tanner Martiniere, Kevin Martiniere, Scott Martiniere, Will Martiniere, Hunter Martiniere, Tucker Martinier and Christopher Wilson.Honorary pallbearers were John S. Bishop, Wilfrido Hernandez, Jose Estigarribia and Daniel Ready. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Thomas Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 929, Fairhope, AL 36532.
