FAIRHOPE Mary Jane Bouchillon (NICHOLS) of Fairhope, AL died on March 13, 2016 under the hospice care of Eastern Shore Skilled Nursing Center in Daphne, AL due to respiratory failure. She was 60 years old. Mary Jane was born on July 26, 1955 in Lexington, MS to her parents, Ethel Faye (NOLAN) and Louie Beall Nichols. She graduated from Cruger-Tchula Academy and attended Mississippi State University where she was a member of Chi Omega. Mary Jane was instrumental in many of her Holmes County friends also joining Chi Omega. She married her high school sweetheart, Graydon Eugene “Gene” Bouchillon from Durant, MS, in 1977. The Bouchillons moved to Dallas, TX where Gene worked as a sales professional and business owner and Mary Jane worked as a homemaker and mother to their two children, Gray and Nolan. Mary Jane was especially supportive of Gene’s career. In 2001, Mary Jane and Gene relocated to Fairhope, AL from Dallas, TX. Mary Jane had a love of and compassion for animals, especially Yorkshire Terriers. She had a flair for fashion and inspired others with creative ideas gleaned from her elegant home designs. MJ possessed a pithy, dry wit inherited from her father, Louie Beall, and a courageous, willfulness some felt came from her mother, Faye. Mrs. Bouchillon is survived by her husband, Gene Bouchillon; her son and daughter-in-law, Gray and Kate Bouchillon (GEORGE) of Dallas, TX; and her daughter and son-in-law, Nolan and Steve Brown of Denver, CO. She is survived by her mother-in-law, Bettye Farmer, of Fairhope. Additionally, she is survived by her sister-in-law, Jackie Trueblood (BOUCHILLON), and her husband, Roy, of Ocala, FL; her sister-in-law, Dianne Massey (BOUCHILLON), and her husband, Sammy, of Lexington; and, her brother-in-law, Tommy Jones, and his wife, Sandra (KILPATRICK), of Grenada, MS. Her first cousin, Beja Everett (REAGAN) and her husband, Charles, live in Yazoo City, MS. Her first cousins, Hugh “Nicky” Nichols, and his wife, Beverly, live in Lexington, MS and Thomas Beall and his wife, Isabella, live in Tchula, MS. Mary Jane is also survived by her Yorkshire Terrier, Sophia. Mrs. Bouchillon will be buried in a private ceremony on March 18, 2016 at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington, MS. Visitations for the celebration of Mary’s Jane’s life will be held Thursday, March 17, in Fairhope, AL at The Venue, 105 S. Section St., from 4:00p.m. until 6:00p.m. Visitation will be in Lexington, MS at Southern Funeral Home on Friday, March 18, from 2:30p.m. until 3:30p.m. All are welcome to attend the visitations to celebrate the life of Mary Jane with family and friends.
