Floyd Tolbert, Sr.

DAPHNE Floyd Tolbert Sr., age 89, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at a local hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Emily Tolbert; his wife of 50 years, Viola Stanton Tolbert; sons, Angelo Tolbert Sr. and Floyd Tolbert Jr. and daughter, Nikkie Tolbert. Mr. Tolbert was a devoted employee of Malbis, Inc. for over 50 years. He is survived by his seven children, Calvin (Louvenia) Tolbert, Sr., Rose Tolbert, Shirley (Samuel, Sr.) Dixon, Brenda (Dozier Sr.) Reese, Antonia Peterson, Dwain (Christine) Tolbert, Sr., and Violenta Tolbert (Yancy Baker) ; 37 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne, AL on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held, Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Shrine of the Holy Cross, with Father Lito Capeding officiating. Mr. Floyd’s family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in the Belforest Catholic Cemetery.
