FAIRHOPE, AL   Kathleen Bell Aultman, age 85, a native of Hattiesburg, MS and a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away Tuesday, March 08, 2016. Mrs. Aultman was born in Hattiesburg, MS and lived there until her marriage to Paul David Aultman of Sumrall, MS in 1953. They lived in Miami, FL until her husband was honorably discharged from the U.S. marine Corp. They then moved to Jackson, MS for her husband to attend MS College and continue his preparation for the ministry. While there, Kathleen worked for Allstate Insurance Company and Jackson Daily News. They were extended a call to pastor the Franklin Baptist Church, Flora, MS. They accepted and commuted until they found a place to live on their church field. After serving God there, they were called to Centerville Baptist Church, Tylertown, MS and they commuted on weekends form New Orleans, La where they attended a pastor’s wife’ course. She also was secretary to the auditor at Sears, Roebuck & Co while there. They were later called to Hayes creek Baptist Church, Franklinton, La and still commuted to the seminary. After graduation, they moved to their church field. After serving there 3 years, they were called to Improve Baptist Church, Columbia, MS. They served the Lord there for 3 ½ years and from there they were called to First Baptist Church, Ocean Springs, MS and served the Lord there for 28 years, at Dr. Aultman’s death in 1993. Mrs. Aultman supported her husband’s ministry and served as Sunday School teach, Department Director, G.A. Director, Church Secretary, Children’s Choir Director, and organized a ladies ministries. She taught Deacon’s wives courses and taught 4 year old pre-school in the church’s Kindergarten for 7 years. She later worked at the Moss Point Nursing Home as Social Worker and Activities Director. She then worked at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs for a total of 10 years. She later moved to Fairhope, AL where she continued to serve the Lord in First Baptist Church. She worked for Wolfe Funeral Home, Fairhope, for 5 years. She showed her love for her Lord, her husband, her sons and daughters-in-law and her grandchildren in all that she did. She was preceded in death by her father, Cosbie A. Bell and mother, Belton H. Bell, her husband, Paul D. Aultman. She is survived by her sons, David Aultman of Fairhope, AL, Jonathan Aultman (Shelby) of Sumrall, MS, and Mark Aultman of Ocean Springs, MS; granddaughters, Chelsea (Jonathan), Martea (Jonathan), Jacqueline (David) and Gabrielle (David); grandson, Ben Aultman; great grandson, Wyatt; brother-in-law, Ben Pressley Aultman of Sumrall, MS; sisters-in-law, Martha Aultman of Sumrall, MS and Edna Aultman of Covington, LA; many other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the First Baptist Church of Fairhope, Friday, March 11, 2016, at 11:00am. The family will receive friends, at the church, from 10:00am until the service time.
