DAPHNE Ms. Ginna Vinson, age 58, of Daphne, AL, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2016. She was born in Mobile, AL, on September 15, 1957, the daughter of the late Charles Augustus Vinson, Jr., and the late Dorothy Gene Blaxton. Known for her smile, sense of humor, and love for family and friends, she changed the lives of all she knew. Ms. Vinson graduated from Auburn University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She remained in Auburn for 19 years, making lifelong friends and establishing herself in the business community there. In 1995, she returned to Mobile to build custom homes with her brother at Joe Vinson Builders, remaining a vital part of the business until her passing. Survivors include one brother, Joe Vinson (Holly) of Mobile, and friend Stephanie Spradling of Daphne. She is also survived by two nieces, Celia Vinson Stewart (Ben) of Mobile and Laura Vinson Powell (Tyler) of Birmingham, AL; three nephews, Matt Vinson of New York, NY; Ross Vinson (Taylor) of Mobile; and Will Vinson of Mobile; and three great-nephews, C.J. Stewart, Ty Stewart, and Pate Vinson. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 23, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Daphne United Methodist Church in Daphne, AL. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Daphne United Methodist Church. The Reverend Charles “Chip” Hale and the Reverend Dan Morris will officiate.
