Ernestine Bodden Darrow

FAIRHOPEErnestine Bodden Darrow died this Thursday, February 11, 2016. She was a native of Mobile and a resident of Fairhope for the past 31 years. Mrs. Darrow was an active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church where she served in many roles; Clerk of the Session, Elder, Confirmation Partner, Prayer Partner and as the unofficial “greeter” of visitors and newcomers since joining Trinity. Mrs. Darrow was also honored to be elected into the Life Membership of the Presbyterian Women U.S.A. by Trinity Church. In more former years, Mrs. Darrow was active in the Thomas Hospital Auxiliary, Eastern Shore Art Center, Friends of the Fairhope Library and the V.I.P tutoring program at the K-1 Center. Mrs. Darrow was predeceased by her parents Lester Ashley Bodden and Maude Ernestine Bodden, her husband James Wallace Darrow and son Paul Britton Darrow. She is survived by her daughter Janet Darrow Grubbs (Randy) of Chesapeake VA., four grandchildren, Ashley Kish, Stuart Grubbs, Susannah Darrow and Sarah Darrow, and four great grandchildren, Alexander, Gabriella and Tyler Kish and Julia Benjamin-Darrow. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church at 11AM on Saturday, February 20 with Rev. Matt McCollum officiating.
