Christopher Martin

Christopher Berryman Martin, age 66, a resident of Fairhope, AL, died Thursday, December 17, 2015. In 1971, he graduated from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois, where he was the editor of the college newspaper. He worked as a reporter, photojournalist, editor, and publisher for newspapers in Virginia, North Carolina, and Kentucky, and as an activist for the Libertarian Party. He volunteered for Planned Parenthood, Amnesty International, and the Byrd Park Civic League. He was a leading light in the Richmond, Virginia stand-up comedy scene. Chris is preceded in death by his parents, H.C. and Easter Martin. He is survived by his sister, Hilary Martin (Cary Bean) of Fairhope; aunt, Kay Britto (Nelson) of Wrightsville Beach, NC; nephews, Ben Martin-Bean (Madhu) of Dayton, OH and Max Martin-Bean (Audrey) of Wilmington, NC.
