Carol Barnes Burkle

Foley, Al Carol Barnes Burkle , age 78, a native of Dothan, AL and a resident of Foley, AL for more than 40 years, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015. Mrs. Burkle was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Foley. Through the years, she was employed by the U. S. Department of Agriculture in Foley, AL, Dr. Kenneth McLeod, as well as the City of Foley. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, birdwatching and the beach. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick W. Burkle. She is survived by daughter Carole Buckley Hudson (Dr. Earnest C. Hudson) of Foley, AL, granddaughter Kate L. Hudson of Orlando, FL; son George Michael Buckley of Foley, AL; daughter Sally Buckley Roach of Silva, NC; granddaughter Michelle R. Roach of Ashville, NC; sisters Judith Barnes (Erskin Fillingim) of Spanish Fort, AL, Virginia Barnes Waggener(Vance Waggener Jr.) of Silva, NC; and a host of other relatives and friends Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 29, 2015 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Foley, Alabama at 11:00 am.
