Lieutenant Colonel Timothy Kevin Reddy, P.E., US Army (retired), age 61, a resident of Fairhope, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015. LTC Reddy was a native of Baltimore, MD. A 1976 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY, he was commissioned a Field Artillery officer, and later branch transferred to the Corps of Engineers. He served in the 1st Armored Division in Europe; the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC; the US Army Corps of Engineers Norfolk District; the 56th Field Artillery Command, 293rd Engineer Battalion, 40th Engineer Battalion and Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Engineer, all in Europe; the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management in the Pentagon; and as the Deputy District Commander for the US Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District. His 23 years of active duty service included at combat tour with the 82nd Airborne Division during Operation Urgent Fury. Following retirement from the Army, LTC Reddy began a 15 year career at Fairhope High School teaching Mathematics, coaching the high school swim team and the high school soccer team, and sponsoring the Key Club. He was renowned for his ability to prepare students for college, and received countless thanks from former students for making college calculus so easy. A registered Professional Engineer in the State of Virginia, LTC Reddy also holds a Masters of Engineering degree from the University of Florida. He is survived by his brother, Patrick Reddy of Parkville, MD; sister, Colleen Yegla (Edward) of Wilmington, DE; nieces, Margaret Clark (Glenn) of Monkton, MD, Lauren Yegla (Grant Miller) of Suffolk, VA and Brittney Yegla of Philadelphia, PA; great nephew, Graham Clark and great niece, Beatrix Miller. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Visitation will be on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Church in Daphne, AL, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Alabama State Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Wounded Warriors Project.
