Martha Barber “Rosie” Stallworth, born March 6th, 1940 in Russellville, AL. The Earthly World lost an Angel Friday, August 21, 2015 when Rosie Stallworth passed away. She had been recovering from a brief illness and passed quite peacefully and suddenly. A mother, grandmother, wife and dear friend to countless, Rosie was a lifetime educator and had retired from the Baldwin County Public System. Rosie is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Alma Barber of Haleyville, AL and her husband of forty seven years J.F. “Fred” Stallworth, Sr. Survivors include two loving children, James F. “Jay” Stallworth, Jr. ( Brandi) of Point Clear, AL; Sally Stallworth McPeak and her husband Mike of Fairhope, AL; her adored grandchildren, James F. Stallworth, III and Abby Anderson as well as her brother, Chester M. Barber and his wife Kathy of Haleyville, AL; many nieces and nephews who all lovingly called her Aunt Rose. A more devoted mother, grandmother, wife and friend has never lived. She will be greatly missed as she watches over us from Heaven. A Celebration of Rosie’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 6:30pm at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:30pm until time of the service. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made in memorium to Magic Moments.org.
