Mary Hataway

FAIRHOPEMary Hataway, a native of Buckatunna, Mississippi and a resident of Fairhope for 60 years, died Tuesday evening at her daughter's home in Fairhope. She was 98 years old. Mary was a member of the Faith Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Macon Hataway of Fairhope and her daughters, Elaine Margetjak and Bonnie Bishop. She is survived by 4 daughters, Bobbie Grosskopf of Foley, AL, Mary Etta (Arthur) Word, of Fairhope, AL, Faye Hataway of Loxley, AL, Brenda (Wes) Agresta of Plainfield, IL and one son, Larry Hataway, of Avon, IN. Mary leaves behind 19 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday, August 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, where Rev. Brett Margetjak officiated. Interment was in Memory Gardens of Fairhope.Pallbearers were Larry W. Hataway, Jr., Kevin Johnston, Donnie Johnston, Jody W. Bishop, Joe M. Word, Tim Grosstopf and Tom Word.
