HELTON PERDIDO BEACH Hazel Ann (Parker) Helton slipped away peacefully into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Friday, June 12, 2015. “Miss Hazel” is survived by her husband and best friend of 56 years Martin Helton, Jr. of Perdido Beach, AL. Her four children, Doug Helton of Perdido Beach, AL., Kathy Helton Danielson of Bastrop, TX., Tessie Helton-Carrel of Perdido Beach, AL., and Janet Helton- Havel of Austin, TX. She was blessed with nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. Preceded in death by her parents, Ethel Lewis-Parker, Donald W. Parker, her two brothers, Richard Parker and Donnie Parker all of Perdido Beach, AL. Hazel Ann was born August 20, 1942 in Perdido Beach, AL., where she lived and raised a family there on the same hill that she was raised on. She loved to laugh and “visit” with all who knew her and never meet a stranger. Her greatest joy was found listening to her husband play music, her kids playing sports, cheerleading, band and any other activity they were involved in. She loved being surrounded by family, friends and anyone else that stopped by for coffee. No invitation was necessary. She loved working at Lamberts- Home of the Throwed Rolls where her loyal customers would come back just to sit in her section. She enjoyed traveling the country with the “Miss Foley” and being an ambassador for the City of Foley and State of Alabama. A celebration of her amazing life is scheduled for Friday, June 19, 2015 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley. The family will receive friends from 12:00 till time of service. Interment will follow in Elberta Public Cemetery.Pastor Fred McGee, of Perdido Beach Baptist Church will officiate the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Hazel’s Life and amazing strength. Food and Fellowship will follow at the home of her daughter Janet Havel in Perdido Beach. The family would like to also thank the people who worked so hard to help our mom regain her life after her brain injury.
