SPANISH FORTMamie Ruth Young Williams, age 88, a resident of Spanish Fort, passed away Friday, June 5, 2015.Born on April 24, 1927 in Mathiston, MS to William Tobe and Lucy (Pierce) Young, Ruth was the only daughter in a family of three sons, who lovingly referred to her as “Sister”A longtime resident of Wilson Heights in Spanish Fort, Ruth and her husband of 61 years, Willie, raised four sons. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and an active member of First Baptist Church of Spanish FortMrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and her beloved husband W. H. “Willie” Williams. She is survived by her sons Karl (Gwen), Mike (Kay), Bill, Mark (Denise) and grandchildren, Brett, Wade, Sarah, Jordan (Jordan), Elizabeth, Stephen and Katie. Funeral services will be held from the First Baptist Church of Spanish Fort, Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at 10:00am. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:00am until the service time.Interment will follow in Wilson Cemetery.allbearers will be her grandchildren, Brett Williams, Sarah Williams, Jordan Williams Collins, Jordan Collins, Elizabeth Williams, Stephen Williams and Katie Williams.
