In loving memory of Darrell Lee Stewart, born May 14, 1948 in Springfield, Ohio.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Elizabeth Farmer Stewart and father Gossard Lee Stewart, brothers Phillip Arden Stewart and Robert Eugene Stewart.  Mr. Stewart is survived by his daughters, Angela (Keith) Barlow and Stephanie (Paul) Benton, all of Fairhope; five grandchildren, Kaitlyn Barlow, Bridget Barlow, Madison Benton, Matthew Benton and Jennifer Benton; one great-granddaughter, Naomi Barlow; Two brothers, Don (Judy) Stewart of Robertsdale and Brent (Tina) Stewart of Valdosta, GA; Two sisters, Joan Roth of Coco Beach, FL and Crystal (Bob) Wilson of Ohio; numerous nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Born in Ohio, Darrell along with his brothers and sisters, was transplanted to Demopolis, AL by his father's work in the farming industry.  He joined the Navy in the last stages of the Vietnam War.  While stationed in Pensacola, FL he met his future wife and mother of his two children, Pauline Rowell Stewart.  Darrell spent most of his life working as owner/ operator of Stewart Trucking Company.  As the grand children came along (Katie, Bridget, Madison, Matthew and Jennifer) his life became more bright and full of love, before he passed, he was blessed to enjoy a great-granddaughter (Naomi) as well.   Darrell enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader.  He studied history and helped develop a love of history and reading in his grandchildren.   He was a strong supporter of our military personnel and a staunch republican.  He passed from this life on June 5th 2015 with many loved ones present.  He will be missed greatly.   A celebration of life memorial service will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, AL, Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 4:00 pm.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until the service time.
