Linda Gayle Resmondo

RESMONDO ROBERTSDALE After a prolonged battle with cancer, Linda Gayle Resmondo died on June 1, 2015 in Robertsdale, Al., at the age of 53. Linda leaves behind her husband, Silas Resmondo; and her 3 sons, First Sergeant Michael (Allison) Resmondo, Staff Sergeant Paul (Christian) Resmondo, and Daniel (Ashley) Resmondo. She is survived by her mother, Alice Bradford Johnson, her sister, Marsha Kaiser, and her brothers, Wayne and Kenneth Johnson. Her father, Jesse Edward Johnson, preceded her in death. One of Linda’s greatest joys in life was her grandchildren, Michael, Jr., Dale, Ethan, and Login. Linda was born on November 7, 1961 in Foley, AL., and attended Foley schools. Linda married Silas Resmondo of Summerdale on January 8, 1983. They lived and raised their three sons in Robertsdale, AL. She worked at Thomas Hospital in the Linens Department for 15 years. Linda had a deep love for animals, especially her horses. Linda annually rode in the local St. Jude’s trail ride. When diagnosed with lung cancer in 2013, she remained dedicated in her work and in her will to fight for her illness. She remained a brave, iron-willed woman even throughout her final months. Linda requested to be cremated. A celebration of Linda’s life will be held June 20, 2015 at 11:00am at the Greenwood Community Covenant, 21950 Co. Rd. 36, Summerdale, Al 36580. Lunch will follow in the church reception hall.
