Willis Lee “Bill” Dumas, Age 81, born in Hurley, MS and a resident of Fairhope, AL passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015. Bill worked many years in Mobile as an estimator. In his youth, he was a Golden Glove boxer. In 1972, he and Sally Ann made Fairhope their home where he became interested in pottery. He volunteered at Emmy’s Thrift Store, and was a member at St. Stephen Episcopal Church. He is loved and will be missed by his family and friends. Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Sally Ann Batson Dumas. Survivors include three daughters, Terry Davis of Mobile, AL, Mischa (Jeff) Marlowe of Grayson, GA and Melissa (Rick) Sullivan of Hazlehurst, MS; four sons, Joseph Dumas of Gulf Shores, AL, Lee (Margaret) Dumas of Fairhope, AL, Dan (Debbie) Dumas of Ft. Walton Beach, FL and Rusty (Roxanne) Gross of Pensacola, FL; one sister, Kathy (Tom) Deas of Tuscaloosa, AL; two brothers, Terry (Joyce) Dumas and Joe (Libby) Dumas all of Mobile, AL; fifteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 11:00am at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00am until time of the service.
