William (Bill) John LaCoste, 69, of Foley, AL passed away unexpectedly on May 15, 2015. He was born in Mobile, AL to Harold and Faustina LaCoste and was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife Wanda of Foley, AL, sister Roberta (Leroy) Weeks, Magnolia Springs, brother Hal LaCoste, sons William (Rhonda) John LaCoste Jr of Shepherd, TX, Kevin (Bonnie) Young of Redmond, WA, Jason (Michelle) Young of Vestavia Hills, AL, Eric (Sunne) Young of Elkmont, AL, and Kimberly (David) Richardson of Foley, AL. His 16 grandchildren Ashton, Morgen (Will), William III, Travis, Forrest, Emma, Claire, Jacob, Isaac, Ashley, Makenzie, Austin, Baylee, Peyten, Leyni, Morgan and 4 honorary grandchildren Emily, Krisley, Dawayne and Jalia, great grandchildren Emma, Riley and Dawson, niece Malani (Jack) Heaton, nephew Gordon Sparks, great-nephew Alex Chavez, devoted friends Jerry and Cathy Parrish, and numerous loving cousins and friends. And He will be greatly missed by his cat, Baby. Bill grew up in Magnolia Springs and graduated from Weeks High School in 1964. Upon graduation, he proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. After successfully completing two tours in Vietnam, he received an Honorable Discharge as Staff Sergeant. He then worked for Gulf Oil in Houston, TX for 18 years and ARCO in Plano, TX for 5 years. In 1991, he and his family returned to Lower Alabama and for the last 22 years, he has worked for Vulcan Signs in Foley, AL. Bill was a thoughtful, loving, caring and gentle man whose priority in life was his family, who he loved beyond measure. Bill had a passion for travel, the Atlanta Braves, the Marine Corp, all things Elvis and was known to spend some time in front on the slot machines. Bill always had an ear to listen, was the perfect, dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend and the rock of the family. Bill is as selfless and giving in death as he was in life, as he chose and was accepted as an organ donor and will save the lives of others. A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at 3:00pm at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley. Interment of his ashes will be at a later date at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
