LYONS FOLEY, AL Kenneth Laverne Lyons, age 85, a resident of Foley, AL passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Kenneth was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, an avid golfer, member of Glen Lakes Golf Club, President and longtime member of Moundbuilders Country Club, built and flew remote controlled air planes, graduate of Michigan State University, and a Lifetime career with Dow Chemical Company. Preceded in death by his parents Asher and Flossie Lyons, and his first wife Jacqueline Johnson Lyons Survivors include his wife of 9 years Gloria Lyons of Foley, AL., children; Terry Lyons, Laura and husband Robert Lind all of Foley, AL. and Hudson, NH., Diane Cochran and fiancée Doug Mills of Lancaster, OH., grandson, Chase Cochran and great grandchild, Colyn Cochran, his brother, Robert and his wife Janet Lyons of Saginaw, MI., stepson, Warren H. “Chip” Gross of Fredericktown, OH., and many other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held from Swift Presbyterian Church , Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 4:00PM with a reception following service.
