MOBILE Mrs. Dorothy Elizabeth Nelson Moseley, 97, died on April 23, 2015, at Gulf Coast Rehabilitation Center in Mobile. She was born in Mobile, Alabama, April 4, 1918, daughter of the late Raymond and Rachel Nelson. Dorothy grew up in Barnwell and graduated from Fairhope High School. She trained in secretarial skills and worked at Brookley Air Force Base during World War II. Near the end of WWII, she married Arvle A. Moseley, a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force. She was a long time resident of Robertsdale, where she was a member of First Baptist Church and taught many children in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. As loving mother to Melanie, Marian, and Jane, she filled her days with cooking, sewing, and gardening, always with artistry and refinement. During retirement, she and Arvle traveled and enjoyed time at their Gulf Shores beach cottage. They later moved to Homestead Village in Fairhope, where they continued to enjoy time with family and friends. In her final days with us, she gave us her last life lesson, " And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love." Dorothy and Arvle were married for 57 years before Arvle's death in 2002. They are survived by three daughters, Melanie Moseley Roberson and husband, Bob, of Andalusia, Alabama, Marian Moseley Tyson and husband Martin of Durham, North Carolina, and Jane Moseley Grayson and husband, David of Spanish Fort, Alabama. three sisters, Mildred Barnhill and her husband, Maston, of Loxley, Lorraine Benton, of Foley, Mary Kelley and her husband, Lamar, of Barnwell, one brother, Peter Nelson and wife Carol, of Point Clear, grandchildren Alan Roberson, John Roberson and wife, Amanda, Julie Roberson Rowell and husband Charlie, Katherine Tyson, Andrew Tyson, Ashley Grayson Brown and David Grayson, Jr., great grandchildren, Grayson and Lucy Brown, Claire and Blake Roberson, and Anna Rowell, grand- dog, Willie, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial service to be held at Spring Hill Baptist Church, 2 South McGregor Avenue, in Mobile at 2:00 pm Monday April 27, 2015. Thanks You Gulf Coast Rehab, Atria Regency and Springhill Hospice.
