Ronald Dean Shanks

SHANKS PERDIDO BEACH, AL Ronald Dean Shanks, age 76, a resident of Perdido Beach, AL. for 35 years, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015. Ronald was born in Peoples, OH. on September 5, 1938. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be missed by all that knew him. Preceded in death by his parents, George S. and Nellie Shanks and a brother Johnny Shanks, as well as a son, Rick Wise and daughter-in-law, Leisa Shanks. He is survived by his wife, Lorrine Shanks of Perdido Beach, children, Deborah Merritt of Hudson, FL., Ronald (Connie) Shanks of Cincinnati, OH., Shawn Shanks of Louisville, TN., G. Allen Shanks of Grand Prairie, TX., sisters, Mary Daughtery of Mt.Orab, OH., Nellie (Butch) Tettor of Batavia,OH., brother, Charles (Norma) Shanks of Cincinnati, OH., seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, many other family and friends. The family will have a Celebration of Life service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society.
