LINDSLEY FOLEY, ALABAMA Jane Marler Lindsley, Age 68, a native of Birmingham, AL and a resident of Foley, AL passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015. Ms. Lindsley was a graduate of Foley High School, received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Troy State University and her Master’s from the University of South Alabama. She taught English and Drama at Foley High School for thirty years. She sponsored Thespian activities and served at the state level on the Board of Directors for the International Thespian Society. For many years, she worked with the Stiffler Family at Stiffler’s Interiors and Gifts and Collectibles in Foley. After her retirement she was employed at Tanger Outlet Mall as a Customer Service Representative. She was very involved in community activities, especially those related to the performing arts. Ms. Lindsley attended Gulf Shores United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials in her name to the Gulf Shores United Methodist Church Servant Ministries or to the Salvation Army Angel Tree program. Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Tommy Salter of Foley, AL; nephew, Dr. Sean (Kristin) Salter of Murfreesboro, TN; niece, Dr. Shannon (Glenn) Salter Fussell of Ocean Springs, MS; great niece, Katherine Louise Salter of Murfreesboro, TN; and the Stiffler Family and many special Foley High School friends. A Celebration of Life service for Jane will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 11:00am at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home,Foley. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00am until time of the service.
