Nelson Gerald Frerichs

FRERICHS FOLEY, AL Nelson Gerald Frerichs, age 70, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Nelson graduated from Wilson Central High School. He joined the Air Force and after serving his country, attended college and became a dedicated teacher. He taught students several years in Medina, NY, Paraguay for two years and thirteen years in Kuwait at the International schools. He was a world traveler and did mission work at youth camps and orphanages in Moldova and in other parts of Europe. Nels, as he had liked to be called, made hundreds of friends every place he had lived. Nelson loved the Lord and lived his life serving the Lord by helping others and witnessing to their needs. Nelson’s joyful smile and kindness will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Nels was ready and went home to heaven to be welcomed by the Lord. Preceded in death by his parents, Herbert A. and Gertrude H. Bougumil Frerichs, a brother, Herbert A. Frerichs. Survivors include his sister, Diane C. Wittcop of Foley, AL, brothers, Adrian E. (Katherine) Frerichs , Thomas C. (Anne) Frerichs all of Wilson NY, , Richard N. (Joy) Frerichs of Ransomville, NY, several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial service will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Fuenral Home, Foley, Friday, April 10, 2015 at 2:00PM.
