Grace D. Nelson

FOLEY, AL Grace Daugherty Nelson, a lifelong resident of Foley was born June 7, 1921 and departed this life to be with the Lord Saturday, March 28, 2015 surrounded by her family. Grace was a charter member of the Summerdale Church of Christ. She is survived by two daughters, Louise (Billy) Lambert, Carolyn (David) Till, both of Foley; four sons, Leonard (Lyndia) Daugherty of Foley, Henry (Betty) Daugherty of Baton Rouge, LA, Mylan Daugherty, Jerry (Sandy) Daugherty, both of Foley; nine grandchildren, Todd, Melanie, Ashley, Chris, Misty, Brian, Heather, Alicia and Angie; three sisters, Mae Smith, Barbara Williams, Marjorie Snook, all of Foley; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Summerdale Church of Christ. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Pine Rest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alabama Gulf Coast Christian Academy, 18930 Co Rd 28, Foley, AL 36535, gccacademy.org.
