George June Noble Jr., 12/4/49 -3/18/15 George June Noble Jr., known as “Skip” to his friends and loved ones, of Orange Beach, Alabama, passed away in West Florida Hospital on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at the age of 65. Skip was an amazing Basketball player who finished his career at Old Dominion University, from which he graduated with a degree in Biology. As a senior in 1970-71, he helped lead the Monarchs to reach the NCAA Division II finals. The St. Albans, West Virginia, native, was selected in the 10th round of the NBA draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. He later returned to West Virginia to attend WVU where he graduated with a Bachelors degree of science in Engineering of Mines. His accolades include being inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame at both St. Albans High School and Old Dominion University. While living in Orange Beach, he was an active member of his community who loved his family, friends, fishing and was a die-hard sports fan. He was a dedicated father and friend who will be remembered for his wonderful wit and smile. He was an employee of Bob Tyler Toyota. Skip will be greatly missed by all.He was preceded in death by his father George June Noble, Sr. He is survived by his “Other”, long-term girlfriend, Millicent Thompson, mother, Joann Noble, brothers, Randy Noble (Wife Sally) of New Smyrna Beach, FL and Chris Noble (Wife Frances) of St. Albans, West Virginia, and his children, Kimberly Gerardi (Husband Jason) and grandson McKye Gerardi of Denver, CO, Nicholas Noble of Harrrisburg, PA, Katelyn Nichols (Husband Stephen) Alexandria, VA, and Casi Noble of Denver, CO. A celebration of Skip’s life will be held at 1pm on Sunday, March 29, 2015, at The Tacky Jack’s Cigar Bar, 27202 Safe Harbor Dr., Orange Beach, Alabama, 36561.
