Joseph McDavid Miller

Joseph McDavid Miller, age 36, born in Mobile, AL passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015. David was a professional golfer, he was a graduate of U.M.S. Wright where he led them to four state championships, and a graduate of the University of Georgia where he lead them to one National Championship and three SEC Championships. He has continued to play on several professional tours until recently. He is survived by his wife, Amber Dean Miller, one son, Crenshaw Dean Miller, one daughter, Crawford Elizabeth Miller; parents, Harold C. “ Pokey” Miller, Jr. and Margaret S. “Peggy” Miller all of Daphne, AL; two sisters, Marian M. (Matt) Resper of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Jean Katherine (Steven Horowitz) Miller of New York, NY; one brother, Harold C. Miller, III of South Port, FL; aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and friends. He is also survived by Danny and Beverly Dean, his father and mother-in-law, Jordan and Laura Lee Dean, brother and sister-in-law, all of Dothan, AL; grandparents in-law, Betty S. Adams, of Ft. Gaines, GA; Tony and Charmaine Peterman of Magnolia Springs, AL. David was a member of First Baptist Church, Fairhope. A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, March 20, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time.
