Sara Hatchett Jenkins

JENKINS FOLEY, AL Sara Hatchett Jenkins, a longtime resident of Foley, Alabama passed away on February 21, 2015 at the age of 88. She was born October 14, 1926 to Arthur and Hulette Hatchett and raised near Notasulga, AL. She was married for 47 years to the love of her life, David C. Jenkins. She was the proud mother of one daughter and five sons. She will be remembered for her love of reading books, her devotion to her family and a staunch supporter of the University of Alabama football team. At her passing, she was a retired accountant and co-founder of the firm David C. Jenkins PA Inc., a past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Charles S. Stewart Chapter. Sara was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Hulette, three sons, Richard, David Jr., and Jeffery, brother Hulen Hatchett. Left to mourn her loss are her daughter, Nancy (Pete) Nichols of Auburn, AL., sons, Michael (Sharon) of Virginia Beach, VA., and Robert (Kim) of Foley; she always felt blessed and had a great love for her nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; and her sister Mildred Morris, of Notasugla, AL. The family will receive friends from Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley , Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 12:00 until 2:00.
