Morgan Jackson Odom

ODOM FOLEY, AL Morgan Jackson Odom, age 89, a resident of Foley, AL., passed away Monday, January 26, 2015. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all that knew him. Served in the military, worked in the printing business, very active in the American Legion where he was elected by his fellow members and served as Commander for the state of Alabama, and was a volunteer firefighter for 65 years, in which 46 of those were active. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Maudie Odom, sisters, May Ola Crow and Esther Stafford, brothers, Stephen and Don Odom. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Marie Odom of Foley, AL., sons, Gary (Kathy) Odom of Elberta, AL., Dennis (Deborah) Odom of Summerdale, AL., and Brian Odom of Richmond Hill, GA., daughters, Karen (Billy) McClantoc of Foley, AL., Sheila (David Fackler) Millines of Robertsdale, AL., brother Thomas Odom of Fairhope, AL., seven grandchildren, one great grandchild and many other family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the American Heart Association. The family will receive friends from Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Funeral service will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley, AL., Friday, January 30, 2015 at 2:00pm. Interment will follow at Pine Rest Memorial Park, Foley, AL.
