Mary Mershon Powell

Mary Mershon Powell, age 77, former resident of Fairhope and Mobile, and a resident of Daphne, AL, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014. She was a member of Emblem Club; she retired from Fairhope Christian Church where she was an organist; she graduated Fairhope High School in 1955, and she attended Southern Miss University. She was an avid lover of movies, music, bowling and crosswords. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Ronald B. & Flo Mershon; first husband, Joseph Duchac and 2nd husband, James Lee Powell. She is survived by her son, Ronald Duchac of Silverhill, AL; stepson, John Powell (Rhonda) of Madison, MS; four grandchildren; Aunt, Dene Mershon of Fairhope, AL; cousins, C.L. “Buzz” Mershon, III of Atlanta, GA and Weiland LaNicca of Ft. Worth, TX and their children.
