Beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, Kathy Cooper Slover, 53 of Fairhope, Alabama passed away on December 5, 2014 at her home in Fairhope. Private graveside services will be held at Memory Gardens of Fairhope. Mrs. Slover was born December 24, 1960, in Birmingham, AL, daughter of the late J.E. and Katie Cooper of Hamilton, AL. She was a 1984 graduate of Mississippi State University where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority and majorette captain of MSU’s Famous Maroon Band. She was an ardent Bulldog fan and supporter of MSU athletics. Mrs. Slover was active in the Madison, MS community serving as co-chair of Madison Ridgeland Academy’s Gardens of Madison County Fundraiser and as a life member of the Junior Auxiliary of Madison, Ridgeland Mississippi. She is survived by her husband, Roland M. Slover of Fairhope, daughter Kaylee Slover Ellis and son-in-law Parker of Fairhope and son Roland M. Slover, Jr. of Nashville, TN and Fairhope. She is also survived by her sister Lane Cooper of Cleveland, Ohio and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to The Colon Cancer Alliance or MD Anderson Cancer Center.
