MONTROSE Arnold Francis Frichter, age 74, a resident of Montrose, AL, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014. He was an avid big game fisherman, loved boating and was a former member of New Orleans Big Game Fishing Club. He was the owner/operator of Frichter’s Sportsman’s Haven in Chalmette, LA for 25 years, co-owner of TBM Inc. in Pearl River, LA, and a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his brother, James E. Frichter. He is survived by his wife, Diane; sons, Bruce (Donna) Frichter of Montrose and James Frichter (Daphne) of Loxley; daughter, Debbi Frichter of Phoenix, AZ; brothers, George Frichter of Pearl River, LA, Carl “Buzzy” of Poplarville, MS; sister, Carol Scarboro of Poplarville, MS; grandsons, Kellyn and Chandler Willoughby, Garrett, Nicholas and Jacob Frichter; granddaughters, Jayde, Haley, Julianna and Elliott Frichter, and Catherine Willoughby. A celebration of Arnold’s life will be held Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Fairhope. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to USA Mitchell Cancer Center.
