Paul Ellis Wyckoff, age 91, a longtime resident of Fairhope and previously Montgomery, passed away on October 5, 2014. Born on March 20, 1923 in Auburn, New York, he attended Cortland State Teachers College before joining the US Army Air Corp serving as a pilot in the Pacific during World War II. Following the war, he worked as a General Contractor until his retirement took him to his love of outdoors where he worked as a Starter/Marshall at Lakewood Golf Club until age 89. He was preceded in death by his wife Janice Wyckoff, former wife Louise Wyckoff Foreman, daughter Beverly Wyckoff Wilson, and brothers, Robert and Ralph Wyckoff. He is survived by daughters Paula Wilson (Jack) of Fairhope and Patsy Allen (Merritt) of Lakeland, FL; stepson Hank Robison (Jean) of Batesville, MS; brother Allan Wyckoff of Auburn, NY, sister Eleanor Weston of Port Byron, NY; eight grandchildren and five great granddaughters. A memorial service will be held at Fairhope United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 11 with visitation at 9:00am followed by services at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fairhope United Methodist Church, 155 S. Section St. Fairhope, AL or to your favorite charity.
