FAIRHOPE, AL James Wesley Schlumpf, 42, of Fairhope, Alabama died suddenly on Friday, September 26, 2014. He was born in New York and attended West Islip High School, West Islip, New York. James was a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston Massachusetts. He was an avid snowboarder and fisherman. He relocated to Fairhope Alabama in 2004 with his wife and two children where he started a successful business, East Coast Contracting, specializing in commercial buildings, decking, marine pilings, bulkheads and remodeling. Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Wendy Schlumpf. He is survived by his two children, Wanda Louise Schlumpf and Wesley Alan Schlumpf. He is the beloved son of Richard and Janet Schlumpf of Hawaii and brother John Schlumpf and wife Jessica, sister Diana Nommensen and husband Jeremy, both of Hawaii. Jimmy will always be remembered as a compassionate, loving person, who would do anything for you. He was one of the good souls of life and is now at rest.
