SPANISH FORT Donald “Don” Ray Westwood, age 64, a native of Gillespie, Illinois and a resident of Spanish Fort, Alabama passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014. He is preceded in death by his father, John D. Westwood. Don proudly served his country in the United States Navy, from Jun 1968 to retirement in January 1990. He was president and co-founder of Rolling Thunder Alabama Chapter 1. Don is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Joanne Westwood of Spanish Fort; sons, Jason (Liz) of Bay Minette, Daniel (Taylor) of Daphne; grandchildren, Kadence and Hudson; brother, Mike (Pam) Westwood of San Antonio, TX; mother, Billie Westwood of Gillespie, IL Visitation will be held on held Friday, September 26, 2014 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne, AL Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne, AL. Interment will follow at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort at 11:30 AM.
