She also attended college at Louisiana Tech, Ruston, LA. Kay is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Lorene Klutts. She is survived by her truly devoted and loving husband, Ret. Lt. Colonel Donald Wineman. The two were rarely apart throughout their 13 years of marriage. Kay is also survived by her three children, Charles Mark (Brenda) Oswald, Linda Susan (Keith) Booker, Laura Alison Harbin. Also being remembered are sisters, Carole Robertson, Susan (Frank) Spann and brother, Paul (Kristen) Klutes. She also leaves to cherish her extended family, Terri (Max) Akin, Donna (Bob) Haynes, Ken (Keitha) Wineman as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Kay loved to travel and often shared memories of trips to Hawaii and a recent trip to Alaska. She and Don also relished traveling to North Carolina for frequent visits with her son, Mark and daughter, Alison. Kay influenced so many lives with her positive spirit and her ambition to improve the world around her. She was active in the Lake Forest neighborhood, where she served on several Boards and Committees as well as the Daphne Beautification Committee. She also volunteered at the Spanish Fort United Methodist Church where she was also a member of the congregation. Before relocating to Alabama, one of Kay’s greatest joys was the years she spent working at Lee Michaels Jewelers in Shreveport, LA where countless customers were greeted as though they were family. Kay’s family is deeply saddened at her passing but know that she is resting in peace and will forever carry her bubbly spirit in our hearts always. We would like to give special thanks to the Helping Hands Care Givers and the staff at Westminster Retirement Village, Spanish Fort, AL.
