VARGO ELBERTA, AL John E. Vargo, age 82, a life time resident of Elberta, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014. Johnny was a lifelong farmer, member of Saint Bartholomew’s Catholic Church in Elberta and a member of Knights of Columbus. Preceded in death by his parents Emery and Mary Rose Chranko Vargo. Survived by his wife Lois Vargo of Elberta, AL, many close cousins and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Saint Bartholomew’s Catholic Church, Friday, September 19, 2014 at 3:00pm with Father James Dean officiating .
