Hubert Gene Sherron

SHERRON GULF SHORES, AL Hubert Gene Sherron, age 74, a native of Durham, NC and a resident of Gulf Shores, AL, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014. Gene was retired from Southwestern Bell / AT & T in El Paso, TX, as a Radio Systems Technician. He was a member and deacon of Calvary Baptist Church, Foley, AL, a Master Mason of the Grand Lodge of Texas and the Order of Eastern Star #142, Foley, AL. He was also a Ham Radio Operator WA5MZK. Mr. Sherron was preceded in death by his parents, Buster Eurel and Ila Mae Sherron; brother, Bobby E. Sherron; sister Margie Mae Titus; and son, Terry Eugene Sherron. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Marie Shepard Sherron of Gulf Shores, AL; daughter, Rebecca Lynn Sherron of El Paso, TX; sons, Jason Keith Sherron of Wills Point, TX, Bryan Karl Sherron, Sr. (Carolyn) of San Antonio, TX; granddaughter, Rebecca Lynn Sherron of Corpus Cristi, TX; grandson, Bryan Karl Sherron, Jr. of San Antonio, TX; sister, Becky L. Strachan of Hampton, VA; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley, AL, Thursday, September 4, 2014, at 11:00am. The family will receive friends, at the funeral home, from 10:00am until the service time. Interment and graveside services will be held in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX.
