Byron Dale Lunceford

FAIRHOPE   Byron Dale Lunceford, age 78, a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away Monday, August 11, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, D.A. Lunceford, Ruth Lunceford Smith; step-father, Robert “Pop” Smith; brother-in-law, James “Wookie” Gray; and his canine Best Friend, Buster. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sandra Lunceford of Fairhope; children, Robert Lunceford (Gina) of Hattiesburg, MS, Bill Lunceford (Jessica) of Cornelius, OR and Eryn Lunceford of Fairhope; grandchildren, Ryan, Garrett, Kalen, Brady, and Edan; sister, Linda Gray of Greenwood, MS; niece, Anne Gray; nephew, Buddy Gray; great nieces, Jordan and Emily Gray. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 29, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope. The family will begin receiving friends at 1 p.m. The family extends special gratitude to Byron’s physicians, (the “A Team”) for their expert care. And special thanks are sent to Mercy Medical Hospice, especially Tonia, Faye, and Chaplain Shawn, for their excellent and loving care.
