FAIRHOPE Wendy Nealy Schlumpf, age 49, a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014. Wendy was born November 17, 1964 in Mobile and has been a resident of Alabama most of her life. She studied Geology at the University of South Alabama before graduating Raleigh School of Mines with a Masters in Ore Microscopy. She went on to work in New York at JFK Airport where she met her husband Jimmy. Wendy was a proud mother of two beautiful children, Wanda and Wesley. In 2004, the family moved to Alabama and started their own business. She is preceded in death by her father, Allen Nealy. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Schlumpf and their two children, Wanda and Wesley Schlumpf. Her mother Wanda Nealy of Grand Bay; brothers, Ronald Nealy of Daphne, and Bart Nealy of Grand Bay and their wives Lisa and Carla; nieces, Lauren and Sarah Nealy; nephews, Tyler and Dylan Nealy; as well as many lifelong friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Grand Bay United Methodist Church with services following at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend John Baxter officiating. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Fairhope United Methodist Church, Sunday, August 17, 2014 at 2:00 PM.
