Lewis Jay Meyer

FAIRHOPE Lewis Jay Meyer, age 85, a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairhope and a long-time member of the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Meyer was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp, serving in the Korean War where his received the Purple Heart. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Paula Meyer of Fairhope; sons, Kelly (Kim) Meyer, Jeff Meyer and Matt Meyer, all of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Adam, Ryan, Bryce, Taylor and Brandi; great grandchildren, Kai and Riley; two step-sisters; and a step-brother. A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, August 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
