SPANISH FORT James Norman “Jabo” Ezell, age 91, a native of Lisman and a resident of Spanish Fort passed away Monday, July 28, 2014. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy T. Ezell; son, William T. “Bill” Ezell; and six older siblings. Jabo is a World War II US Navy veteran. He worked as a forester with International Paper Company and was a charter member of Providence United Methodist Church in Spanish Fort. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Ezell, of Spanish Fort; son, James (Carolyn) Ezell of Tuscaloosa; grandson, Dr. Jonathan (Laura) Ezell of Cookeville, TN; step-daughters, Kathy (Jerry) Hollingsworth of Saraland, Karen (Lance) Lee of Montgomery; step-son, Mark (Jan) Taylor of Vestavia Hills; grandchildren, Joshua Hollingsworth and Justin Hollingsworth both of Saraland, Morgan Lee and Maegan Lee both of Montgomery, Meredith Taylor and Claire Taylor both of Vestavia Hills; many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, July 31, 2014, 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 1, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Providence United Methodist Church, 33200 Jimmy Faulkner Drive, Spanish Fort, AL. 36527. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM at York City Cemetery in York, AL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the building fund of Providence United Methodist Church.
