John "Jack" Thomas, Sr.

MONTROSE John T. “Jack” Thomas, Sr., age 86, a native of Tampa, FL and a resident, for more than 63 years, of Montrose, passed away Friday, July 11, 2014. Mr. Thomas was a graduate of The University of Florida. He was a charter member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and Spanish Fort Presbyterian Church. Jack was a loving father as well as a member of the Baldwin County Historical Society and very active in the community service. He was preceded in death by his wife Rachel McInnis Thomas and son Boots Thomas. Jack is survived by his sons, Thorn Thomas and his wife Beth of Fairhope, Michael Thomas and his wife Barbara of Fairhope, Daniel Thomas and his wife Millie of Charlotte, NC, Daughters, Kista Dorgan of Montrose, Karen Behl of Auburn, IL, Tina Ridge and her husband Stephen of Houston, TX, and a very special member of the family Mary Ann Peters.  Jack has 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held from Trinity  Presbyterian Church, Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 3:30 pm.
